If I had been watching TV or listening to music I would not have heard the sirens (live on Orville Rd E near Card St). My dog wanted outside so I heard it when I let her out...sounded like a slow-motion, far-away eerie emergency siren and went on for several minutes.

I usually hear the sirens, though I live in the same area "gregandpam" do. However, this time I heard no sirens and am wondering if they all went off as planned.

FOR THOSE OF US WHO LIVE OVER THE BRIDGE TOWARDS THE SOLDIER HOME, this alarm is useless. We can not hear it unless we are leaning our heads out our door and straining. Then and only then, have we heard the faint warning alarm.

I would think it would benefit the ENTIRE population of ORTING if we had more sirens on either end of the town so that ALL residents can hear it. :O) TY
