They also don't know what that big red sign at every cross walk means, but if I hit them with my car oh you bet I'd be the one in trouble, even if my light was green. I would LOVE a bike cop to sit there just one day and write them all tickets.

I agree that some riders are rude. It has been my experience that most of them are not. Usually, I get a polite "on your left" warning or a little bell from riders to let me know they are behind me. Most of the rude riders apparently are preparing for a race or something. Rules posted at trailheads should be modified to include rider etiquette. Riders holding riders accountable will win this battle. Make it cool to be nice.

I have also had that happen my son was actually cursed at by an adult male. My son fell to the ground and cut his leg up because of him, and then does not ask if he is okay but calls him a bad name.I have contacted the mayor and she has seen this as well, and agree that we need stripes down the path.

While the trail was intended for use by everyone, I absolutely agree that riders riding at excessive speeds pose a serious threat to every one else. Children, no matter how well behaved they are, are often unsteady while walking/riding. One little waiver from one side or the other while someone is riding by on a bike so quickly can cause very serious accident or injury. Not to mention if someone pushing a stroller doesn't hear an approaching cyclist and moves one way or another in front of one.

I believe a line should be painted down the pathway with the walkers on the left & the cyclists on the right. Putting the cyclist onto the road is dangerous because the road is too narrow for a bike lane & the cyclists end up in the road forcing cars to slow from fifty to a stop if there is an oncoming car or drive too close to the cyclists. The cyclists have total disregard for pedestrians or cars. They seem to think they should not have to follow any of the rules of the road or common courtesy
