As a professional for over 40 years who drives a 20+ton vehicle, I’m always looking for eye contact in the other vehicle and glad that there is a limit of tint for the general public. I will give Our officers the benefit of the doubt that their tinted windows must provide them with some concealment felt necessary for protection, just don’t get any of those mag-wheels that keep rotating when stopped, they should be illegal!

I will clarify, merrijaynes, that most of my frustration was aimed at the first two people who commented. While na na's original question could have been phrased better, for the most part they were not as disrespectful as the other two people were. However, if they REALLY wanted an answer, there are better ways to get the information than posting a comment meant to inflame public opinion against LE.

If they had "just" asked a "simple question" that would have been one thing. They did not. They ridiculed & insulted the officers who ARE sworn to protect & serve-& who do so at the risk of their own lives every time they answer a call. That has nothing to do with freedom of speech & everything to do with ignorance. So before you give me your "give me Liberty or give me Death" speech, perhaps you should consider there is ALWAYS a right way & a wrong way to ask for something-including information

I don't think asking a simple question (remember there are no stupid questions) should be considered as whining or complaining. We citizens have the right to question our police force or any government practice for that matter. We are free to ask anything we want and deserve an honest answer. If we stop questioning our govt., we basically give up our say. We are free to think for ourselves, it is our God given American right! I don't think a simple question proves a persons ignorance or jealousy

As na na pointed out w/the comment "we normal people" Officers aren't just "normal people." They put their lives on the line every day to keep whiners & complainers like you safe & able to make stupid comments like that. So maybe instead of worrying about why police car windows are tinted dark, your energy would be better spent whining about real issues: Like why criminals are repeatedly released from jail to rob, rape, & murder your neighbors after only serving 6 mos for the last heinous crime.

It always amazes me when people whine and complain about stupid things like tinting on police car windows, or officers talking on their cell phones while driving. Perhaps you wouldn't if you realized that you are exposing your ignorance and jealous, petty thought processes when you do. It especially amazes me when you are so busy whining about how unfair something is (side note: who told you the world was fair? FYI:they lied!) and don't pause to consider the practical reasons that may exist.

There just talking on their cell phones. There is no distracting them from their duties while they are driving their expensive Dodge Charger SRT (Street Racing Technology) vehicles up and down the 25 and 35 mile per hour roads.

Don't you just love it? To protect and to serve. You couldn't get eye contact if you were able to find one anyway. They're adults with over-stimulated adolescent ideas. With them on OUR payroll, we should be able to see what they are doing behind the wheel of OUR police cars.
