Support Pestinger for Mayor

Joachim “Joe” Pestinger is asking the citizens of Orting to make him their Mayor during the November election. I would encourage them to give him a strong show of support on election day.

While I do not live in Orting, I had the wonderful experience of working with Mr. Pestinger while he was on the City Council, and as one of my bosses on the Fire Commission when I served as fire chief through December of last year. A more thoughtful, considerate, and visionary person you will not find. Mr. Pestinger is one of those people who will listen carefully, consider all input, and seek information before rendering a decision.

His background as Director of Real Estate Services for Washington State (ret), gives him unique preparation for the role of Mayor. As Director, Mr. Pestinger had to work with many factions and many points of view in managing property used in development of the state’s transportation infrastructure. Joe and his wife Jeannie have lived in Orting for 15 years.

As Mayor, he would address three key priorities: 1) Transportation improvements; 2) Flood protection; and, 3) Assure community emergency preparedness.

Orting is a vibrant and attractive community. Joe Pestinger as its mayor will keep it advancing in that direction. I strongly recommend that Orting “Go with Joe” in November. Thank you.
