Introducting Orting High School New Principal

Dear Orting Staff and Community,

I am pleased to introduce Diane Fox as Orting High School’s new principal beginning the 2015-2016 school year! Ms. Fox will be filling the vacancy left by Ed Hatzenbeler who will be serving as Executive Director for Teaching, Learning and Assessment for our district.

Ms. Fox has been an educator her entire career and served as an elementary, junior high, and high school teacher as well as a Curriculum Specialist before joining Tahoma High School as the Associate Principal and CTE Director for the past five years.

When asked about her new position as Orting High School principal, Ms. Fox said, “I’m looking forward to getting to know the community of Orting and continuing the tradition of excellence for the young people of Orting High School. I remain committed to helping our young people learn and grow through quality experiences in and out of our classrooms. It is my highest aspiration that by the time our Orting Cardinals graduate, they have a goal for their lives and the skills to make it happen.”

Our interview team of teachers, parents, students, classified staff, and administrators were impressed with Ms. Fox’s passion for helping all students’ dreams come true and supporting that through developing the structures for students to build plans for their individual aspirations. We are confident she will move us forward in our shared mission of preparing ALL students for college, careers, and life!
