The Orting School District is seeking interested applicants to fill a temporary vacancy on the Orting School Board, District Director #5. The full term for this contract was scheduled to expire November, 2019. Applicants interested in serving out the remainder of the term must reside in the director district. Please visit the District’s website to see a map of director districts. The appointment will begin July 18, 2019 and end November 30, 2019.
The vacancy on the five-member board will be filled through an application and selection process per Washington State law. Orting residents who are interested in the vacant seat on the Board should submit a letter of interest and resume to Bonnie Christian, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, by 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. The remaining school board members will review materials. Interviews for selected candidates will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.
